The team won every game by an average of 4 points over the course of the tournament.

Even more impressive, 14-year-old goalkeeper Milly didn’t concede a single goal.

After a successful qualifying tournament, they ended up facing Truro School in the semi-finals.

Team coach, Mr Tom Elliott said: “It was an incredibly tough game with our girls dominating possession as well as the chances. It was only in the second half when our team managed to finally score despite challenging tactics from the opposition. A well-deserved 1-0 victory secured their place in the final.”

The final against Mount’s Bay was won 2-0 with goals scored by Year 11s Katie and Georgina.

This November, the girls will now compete against the best of the South West at the tournament’s regional finals and continue a journey which last year led them to placing 3rd in the entire UK in the Tier 3 National Championships.
