She is one of only 35 of the UK’s most promising young singers to make the cut out of over 400 members of this prestigious national choir.

Bryher usually performs with the National Youth Girls’ Choir which she won her spot on three years ago against thousands of applicants.

She impressed the national choir masters so much during her time with the ensemble that they asked her to join the elite few at the Royal Albert Hall without the need for an audition.

Bryher will head to the iconic venue this December to perform in ‘My Christmas Orchestral Adventure’ conducted by Timothy Redmond.

Timothy is the Music Director of the Winston-Salem Symphony, Artistic Director of the Cambridge Philharmonic and a regular guest conductor with the London Symphony Orchestra & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Bryher said: “I’ve always wanted to sing there since I was tiny. I can’t really believe it’s happening – performing there and sharing that with the friends I’ve made at the choir is going to be so much fun.”

Having made her ambitions of performing at the Royal Albert Hall come true, Bryher now has her sights set on the BBC Proms and is busy preparing for auditions to start the journey towards performing at this British institution.

It’s a busy time for Bryher who was also one of only two musicians chosen to accompany the Girls’ Choir at their latest performance this summer. The Year 9 student is currently working towards her Grade 8 in violin and was delighted to have the opportunity to show off their skills with this prestigious ensemble.

Bryher currently performs with the school’s senior choir and chamber choir as well as Cornwall Chamber Choir, Cornwall County Choir and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. A real team player, the young musician also helps teach young singers at Cornwall Junior Choir.
