The start of a packed calendar of events, girls from Year 8 to Sixth Form joined Gabriella to discuss the fascinating work she is undertaking for the NGO, Survival International – the global movement for tribal peoples’ rights.

An Old Girl of the school, Gabriella studied Law and then Modern Languages at the University of Cambridge where she was president of the Cambridge University Sixth Form Law Conference for aspiring lawyers.

In her year abroad to Chile she interned with Amnesty International and undertook research concerning abuses committed against Mapuche Indians by the Chilean state.

Following graduation, she taught languages and Latin American culture and literature classes at Westminster School for four years and completed Amnesty International’s Teacher Programme. She then worked as volunteer journalist for an indigenous rights news platform before commencing work with the NGO Survival International.

The workshop was staged as part of our comprehensive programme for aspiring lawyers. The bespoke programme offers students, wishing to further their studies in law, a tailored calendar of lectures, workshops, mentoring and one-to-one support to support their successful application to study the subject at one of the world’s top universities.
