Part of the Sixth Form’s comprehensive PSHEE and enrichment programme, the day saw students building their confidence in essential life skills including basic car maintenance, budgeting and consent alongside specially trained guest speakers.

Students were also tasked to plan leadership projects and charity work to prepare themselves for the world of work and support their applications to university and beyond.

Headmistress Mrs Sarah Matthews said: “It is absolutely vital that when students leave us they feel confident to face whatever challenges may come their way in the future.

“As a school, we believe that equipping girls with skills for life is as important as academic success and an essential part of how we empower our students to not only survive but thrive in the world beyond the school gates.”

The day comes as the school prepares to launch its ‘Future Ready Programme’ which will offer girls of all ages the chance to develop new skills, increase their business acumen and best prepare them to make informed choices in the future.

The launch rounds off a fantastic year at the school which achieved a 59% A*/A pass rate at A Level earning it the title of the highest ranked small independent school in England for A Level results.
