The Kernow Kittz continues to prove a force to be reckoned with winning bronze in the combined F24 and F24+ Championship Race. The car was driven by Sixth Former Amy.

The girls were also thrilled to be awarded the “Spirit of Greenpower” trophy. The award recognises the crew which shows the greatest team work, resilience and calm in the face of adversity – qualities that the organisation believes every racing driver and pit crew should embody.

Head of STEM, Mr Jon Dean said he was extremely impressed by their attitude throughout the day. He complimented them not only on their engineering prowess but on keeping everyone’s spirits up with big smiles, lots of dancing and cheers for every competitor as they zoomed past the chequered flag.

The team’s next race will now take place in September when the season resumes after its summer hiatus so plans are already in motion to get back in the workshop as they rev up for another successful day at the race track.
