This weekend millions got in the party spirit as they celebrated the royal couple’s highly-anticipated nuptials.

With well-wishers lining the streets of Windsor and wedding parties thrown up and down the country, the school’s pupils couldn’t wait to join in the fun.

Dressed to impress in outfits “fit for a royal wedding”, everyone donned a huge range of royally-themed ensembles ranging from party dresses and bouquets to stunning outfits from some very special visitors from the House of Windsor.

The girls designed and created their own hats in class to complete their glamorous looks in preparation for the special occasion. The party commenced with a high spirited parade around the school’s Willow Field in order for the pupils to show off their creations.

As part of the celebrations, the girls took part in a number of highly competitive races at the event. With a wedding ring obstacle race, throw the bouquet competition and even a champagne waiter challenge there were plenty of opportunities for the girls to have a right royal afternoon of fun and games with friends and family.

The afternoon’s frolics were rounded off with a traditional Cornish cream tea.

Head of Prep School, Miss Annabel Ramsey said: “A royal wedding is always a wonderful reason to get together and celebrate with our nearest and dearest so it was fantastic to see so many of the Truro High community joining in with the spirit of things today.”

Not to be outdone, the weekend saw the school’s boarding house transformed for a fabulous shindig to mark the big day itself. Croquet on the grass lawns, the ceremony up on the big screen and a traditional English afternoon tea were all on the agenda and the girls spent a wonderful afternoon celebrating alongside millions of well-wishers all around the world.
