It marks a clean sweep for Truro High’s hockey players and the School is now home to six county champion teams – one for every age group that competes at this level.

The U13s put in a sterling performance against the county’s top school teams throughout their tournament to claim this title. The semi-final saw a resounding 3-0 win against Mount’s Bay before the team sealed their victory with a 2-1 win in the finals against Truro School. Even more impressive, the team won every match it played by an average of six goals.

Congratulations are also in order for the B team who proved themselves formidable opponents out on the pitch.

The School’s U15 team rounded off the season of success on a real high this week as they were crowned county champions once again with an incredible 13-0 win against Penryn.

The team have dominated the pitch over the course of the season which has seen them win all their matches by an impressive 9.5 goal average and not concede any goals to their opponents.

The surprise snowfall caused the postponement of the semi- final this season but the girls were well prepared when they finally faced Truro School and were thrilled with their 4-0 win which was sealed in under 30 minutes of gameplay. Yesterday’s finals saw them pitted against Penryn College as they stormed to victory to claim the county cup for the second year running.

Both teams will now compete against the best of the South West at the tournaments’ regional finals held at Millfield School later this Spring.

The School would like to offer huge congratulations to all the teams who have proved themselves a force to be reckoned with out on the pitch and raised the county championship cup above their heads this season. The U11s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s and U18s all currently hold these prestigious titles.
