Girls from the age of eight to eighteen are busy rehearsing, building sets, creating props and making costumes for the show, which will be performed on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 March at 7.30pm. There will also be a Saturday matinee in 3 March at 2.30pm.

A mesmerizing take on the “tale as old as time”, the school’s production of this beloved Disney classic will be full to the brim with musical numbers and dazzling routines that are sure to have all the family dancing in the aisles before long.

Head Girl Savannah will be shining on stage as the ‘Belle’ of the ball whilst her fellow actresses Year 11 Charlotte, Year 11 Amy and Year 8 Lily will be taking the lead as our favourite fairytale friends Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs Potts. Pupils from Prep 6 upwards will be treading the boards in this glittering production so do come along and show your support to our talented and hardworking cast. The girls will also be joined by local student Kieran who will be playing the role of the Beast.

Backstage, pupils are hard at work designing and making enchanting set pieces to bring this magical fairytale world to life. The final touches are being added to larger than life roses and gorgeous Rococo set pieces in the school’s award-winning Art department ready for the magic of Disney’s to leap into life on stage.

From sumptuous ballgowns to a handmade horned headdress Truro High’s A level designers have also been creating dazzling costumes for the cast.
