Sixth Form Extra Curriculum

Education goes far beyond the confines of the classroom. At Truro High we offer a myriad of opportunities to all pupils to get involved and benefit from a huge number of activities designed to stretch and challenge even the most able. This enables girls to embark upon a journey of life-long learning.
  • Truro High Sixth Formers attend Bloodhound SSC Workshop
  • Truro High Head Girls reads at School Carol Service in Truro Cathedral
  • Truro High Sixth Form Watersports
  • Truro High Costume Club
  • Truro High Sixth Form help with Operation Christmas Child

There is a great sense of getting involved at Truro High – right throughout the school. With so many exciting extra-curricular activities and opportunities on offer it’s not hard to see why.

As part of our PSHE and enrichment programme, we aim to prepare our girls for university and the world of work with a wide variety of ‘life skills’. As a school Sixth Form we have a unique opportunity to enable the girls to build their confidence and communication skills through a wide range of leadership roles and opportunities which they will be able to utilise and take with them throughout their lives.

The programme is carried out in small discussion groups, supplemented by outside speakers, general debates, videos and visits out of school.

Our whole school enrichment programme is open to all of our Sixth Form – however there are also many other extras including:

Insanity Fitness
Lifeguard Training
Surfboat Rowing
Cookery course with Cordon Bleu-trained chef
RAF Team Building Day
UCAS preparation
Finance Workshop
Ice Skating
