New Faces at Truro High School

Truro High School has begun the new academic year with some brand new staff appointments. Fiona Osman has joined as Development Officer - a role that will include building the school's old girl and business networks - and Eleanor Stone has been appointed to teach Psychology at A Level, the first time that Truro High has included the subject in the list of subjects offered to sixth formers.

Other new faces include Jon Dean as Head of Science, Paul Crump as an English teacher, Rachel Westley as Librarian, Angele McKenzie-Smith as a houseparent, Rob Norman as music teacher, former pupil Claire Pledger as Swimming and Sports Coach, Sheila Talbot as Payroll Clerk and Dan Hart as an IT apprentice.

“I’m delighted that the school has been able to build on its ongoing success by creating some new posts,” said Headmistress Caroline Pascoe. “We have introduced Psychology as an A Level subject for the first time in response to student demand and the new development role will enable us to strengthen our relationships with old girls and the local community. A lot of work is also being done on our website and on our IT infrastructure generally.

“It’s very important for us to change and adapt with the times so that we can continue providing girls with the very best education and preparation for life possible. I’m delighted to welcome our new staff and look forward to working with them.”
