New appointment for Truro High School Head

Truro High School has announced that Headmistress Caroline Pascoe will be leaving the school to become Head of Haberdashers Monmouth School for Girls from April 2014.

Chair of Governors Roger Hygate made the announcement in a letter to parents. He said: “I know that Mrs Pascoe will be very sad to leave Truro High School, which was her first headship, and we will be equally sad to lose her. She has led the school with conviction and vision and I have no doubt those qualities will stand her in equally good stead at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School.

“On behalf of the Governors, I would like to congratulate Mrs Pascoe on her new appointment and express our gratitude for the wholly committed leadership she has shown at Truro High. Thanks to the dedication shown by her and her team, the school remains one of the very best in Cornwall and the South West – both academically and in terms of pastoral achievement.

“We will now start the process of recruiting a strong successor who can continue to build on Truro High School’s outstanding reputation for educational excellence.”

Ends 1 August 2013
