CreatEd Exhibition hosted by Falmouth University

Truro High School Art and Textiles Departments will be showcasing their GCSE and A Level students’ stunning work at the CreatEd Exhibition, hosted by Falmouth University. CreatEd showcases creative subjects at GCSE and Post 16 level providing a fantastic platform for pupils from Year 10, 11 and 12 to exhibit final coursework pieces and for outstanding work to be recognised with their awards. Judges are invited in from leading industries to award prizes in all categories.
Competing against students from over 20 schools and colleges from across the county, last year our pupils scooped two awards and an honorary commendation.
Year 11 Amani Hart received the ‘Fine Art’ award for her portraits of artist Franco Clun and her late father Paul. Year 13 Kitty Rowland received a commendation in the ‘Textiles’ category for her costume designs including a piece based on Dickens’ Miss Havisham. Kitty now studies at the prestigious London College of Fashion.
The school’s Year 10 Young Enterprise Team Silvah Upcycle also added to their collection of awards scooping scooped the ‘Business and Young Enterprise’ award for their ethically sourced and eco-friendly range of handmade products made from bottle corks and jam jars.
