As a result of Government school closures, this Summer our lessons moved to a brand new virtual school with a complete network of digital classrooms.
Our priority has been to ensure that the quality of learning did not change. We did not simply want the girls to maintain their standards, we wanted them to be stretched, to complete their curriculum coursework as planned and to continue to make excellent progress.
We have achieved this by means of a network of online classrooms with the girls dialling in to join lessons. Once ‘in’ the classroom, the girls could hear the teacher, ask questions and be given individual support and additional tasks, just as they would in a normal lesson.
We also developed opportunities for students to work without their screen in some subjects such as Art and PE where work will be allocated with the teacher available for feedback and guidance online, by email and by phone.
If necessary, we are prepared to return to our highly successful virtual school platform at any time.
The current situation has brought future education plans sharply into focus for many families who are now keen to find out more about the benefits of a school where every child is individually known and valued.
