With less than 10% of the engineering professionals in the UK being female, and almost half of young women not even considering a career in a STEM sector; Rachel will explore why women’s progress in engineering is so slow, discus the root causes and offer advice to those who want to make a difference, and change the world of tomorrow.
Rachel is the founder and director of Whiskerstay, a company offering naval architecture consultancy. She is a Chartered Engineer with extensive experience in the marine renewable energy and yacht design sectors.
The lecture will take place on Thursday 15 November at 7pm.
It will be held in the Piran Theatre, just off our Daniell Road car park. This event is free of charge, but please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place.
