How to change a tyre, creating a gourmet feast for under a fiver and staying safe on a night out will be just some of the hands-on activities on offer when our Lower Sixth take part in a series of interactive workshops to prepare for life beyond the classroom.
This annual day is part of our ‘Future Ready Programme’ which offers girls of all ages the chance to develop new skills, increase their business acumen and best prepare them to make informed choices in the future.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at our Lent Term Concert. It’s a chance to hear the latest work by some of our superb musicians and singers, some of whom will have been performing for years while others may be taking to the stage for the very first time.
The concert includes performances from girls from Year 7 to Sixth Form so do join us and show your support. This includes all of our Year 7s who will be performing as part of the Senior School Choir.
This is a non-ticketed event and attendance is free but, to ensure we have enough seats, we will be keeping a list of those who wish to attend. Therefore, to reserve your seat, please contact main reception on 01872 272830 or by email email@example.com.
Cornwall Music Festival provides a platform for many talented amateur musicians and verse speakers of all ages and abilities. Many of our girls will be performing and as usual we are looking forward to seeing their talent and hard work recognised.
Do please come and support us if you are able to be in Truro at any time that the girls are performing.
Whether you’re a fan of bebop or perhaps just keen on something cold with ice and a slice, it’s time to reserve your place for one seriously swinging night out in aid of Kernow Young Carers – ‘Gin and Jazz’.
Friday 20 March will see the main school hall transformed into a Gin Palace like no other as we bring Tarquin’s Gin and our fabulous jazz musicians together under one roof for an evening of scintillating sounds and brilliant botanicals.
The evening is open to parents, staff, Old Girls and all your gin-loving friends.
Proceeds from the evening will go to Kernow Young Carers, a Cornish-based children’s charity that tackles problems such as neglect and child abuse, as well as running services that are aimed at making children’s lives better.
Doors will open at 7pm revealing the main hall transformed for the night with free tasting tables, a gin bar selling signature Tarquin’s G&Ts and an array of tasty nibbles to enjoy at your leisure. You can also stock up on supplies to enjoy at home so don’t forget to bring your wallet.
Entry is priced at £5 and to reserve your place please email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting ‘Gin and Jazz’. Please state how many people will be attending and whether you wish for the cost to be added to your school bill.
Prep School will be celebrating Easter with a fantastic Spring showcase. From instrumental solos to choral verse poetry and our Prep School Choirs, the girls are very excited to show how creative and talented they are.
We hope that you will be able to join us at this wonderful event. All parents, grandparents and family members welcome to attend.
