| Mrs Green had worked at the school for twenty three years. Always smiling and friendly, she was a well-loved and extremely popular teacher who would always go out of her way to help anyone.
The school held its own memorial service for Lynn at Truro Cathedral in November but the girls were also keen to create a special garden in her memory. Green ribbons were sold to raise money and flowers and bulbs have now been bought and planted in freshly dug beds between the main school and the Sixth Form Centre.
As well as a wide variety of Spring bulbs, the plant selection includes four Wonderful Lady, two Sentimental and two Remember Me roses.
‘No-one could believe such a wonderful person had died in such awful circumstances,’ said Trevor Bayton, the school’s Estates Manager who had known Lynn for twenty years. ‘The roses the girls have chosen are just right. No-one could replace her.’
The garden has been planned so that each of the new beds has colour all year round.
