25 January 2012 / SCHOOL HOLDS CAREER CONVENTION
Local firms and organisations like Coodes Solicitors, The Eden Project and Newquay Zoo were there too - providing information about jobs and work experience.
"Today's job market and the increasing costs of higher education mean that it has never been more important to think ahead and get some sense of career direction," said Truro High's Head of Careers Robin Hunter. "That's why all our girls are given a week to do work experience in Year 10 and again in Year 12 and why we arrange events like the career convention. We want our students to be aware of all possibilities and to start planning their futures as much as they can."
Ends 25 January 2012
