The Under 18 hockey team - Georgina Carlin, Alex Clasen, Sophie Knott, Tegan Williams, Issy Turriff, Gabby Kurdyla, Lottie Richardson, Elaine Fung and Olivia James - also scooped the same title for their age group at a hotly contested tournament that included two teams from Truro College and another from Truro School.
Head of PE at Truro High School, Kathryn Barbery-Redd, said: "These were fantastic achievements. The girls really enjoy their sport and are delighted with this success."
Mrs Barbery-Redd went on to explain that the Under 16 netball team is currently training hard in preparation for the South West Regional Finals, having qualified for the event after coming second in the county championships during a tournament held at Bodmin College at the end of last year. The regional final team includes: Millie Deacon, Laura Butler, Beth Angove, Michaela Williams, Jamie-Lee Job, Becky Pearse, Katie Purohit, Ellis Davey, Rachel Pearce and Saskia Packer.
Two Truro High girls have also put in excellent performances at the Cornwall Schools Cross Country Championships. Charlotte Williamson, Yr13, came 2nd in the senior girls' race and Yolande Barnsley, Yr8, came 4th in the intermediate girls' race. Both have qualified for the regional finals due to take place in February.
Truro High Headmistress, Caroline Pascoe, a former British Olympian, said: "I'm extremely proud of the girls for their efforts in maintaining such high standards in county sporting events and wish all those taking part in regional events the very best of luck."
