18 January 2010 / Tour Ends With Another Invitation To Perform
Standing ovations were the order of the day and the girls were even asked to entertain staff and guests in the hotel in which they were staying.
"They gave a Christmas concert there as well and, like everywhere else, the response was fantastic," said Miss Eagar. "There was something very special about this tour and the standard of music making was quite exceptional. I'm very proud of everyone who took part."
In between performances, the girls and the staff and parents who accompanied them also had plenty of fun. There were trips to the theatre and a chocolate factory, a boat trip down the canals and even a medieval banquet.
"Thanks to the annual tour, the choir's well-deserved fame is spreading," said Truro High Headmistress Caroline Pascoe. "They have been to Venice, Salzburg and New York in recent years and are regularly described as outstanding. They are a huge credit to the school."
