13 December 2010 / HEAD PASSES WITH FLYING COLOURS!
The award was presented to Caroline and a record number of other graduates by Admiral the Right Honourable Lord West of Spithead at a special event held at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire. Designed to signify a degree-equivalent standard of personal achievement and professional and technical expertise within the cadet forces, the Licentiateship recognises at least five years of volunteering, professional development and youth management experience.
"I'm very proud to have achieved this award," said Caroline, who was in charge of the RAF section of the Combined Cadet Force at Wellington School in Somerset before being appointed Headmistress of Truro High. "I firmly believe that cadet training brings huge benefits and I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of it and helping to develop young people's skills."
Since moving to Truro, Caroline has been a volunteer with a local squadron of Air Cadets when not studying hard for her next qualification - a Doctorate in Education.
