Lynn and David Green |

It was with deep sadness that the school heard on Tuesday 7 August that Mrs Lynn Green, together with her husband David, had been killed late the night before in a terrible road accident just outside Penryn.
Mrs Lynn Green was Senior Tutor at Truro High School, in charge of Food Technology, and was a professional teacher of exemplary practice and standards. She was also a model for the girls in her efficiency, coupled with an immense kindness and understanding that went hand in hand with a very positive attitude.
Mrs Lynn Green is simply irreplaceable and our hearts go out to David and Lynn’s sons, Peter and Jonathan, who in their own natures reflect the very special qualities of their parents.
The school community is devastated knowing that Mrs Lynn Green will be so sorely missed in every respect.
Lynn and David's funeral took place on 24th August 2007 at Stithians Methodist Church.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, 15 November 2007 at Truro Cathedral.

She will always be missed and remembered forever. Her ways of rescuing something that was barely edible were amazing (especially when I forgot the flour in my borwnies!!) Thank you for all you did. xXx |

Mrs Green- One of the happiest people that we knew, she was always smiling and up for a laugh! There were many food lessons when we burnt our food, or forgot to add the baking powder to the cake, but Mrs Green was there, to rescue us. She was an inspirational woman to all of us, and someone who will be in our hearts forever. Thank you, for everything. Xx |

Mrs Green was an incredible and inspirational woman - she has given me the confidence that I would never have had. She always took time to listen and no problem was ever too small no favour too big. I'll never forget all those little chats that we all had with her in Year 11. Most of all, she was a friend to everyone who knew her, and that is why she will be missed sorely. Sleep well Mrs Green, you were an absolute angel, and not a day will go by when I don't think of you. X |

Mrs Green provided me with the most relaxing cooking lesson when I first came to THS with such poor English. I wouldn't forget u as the same to u that u wouldn't forget how I used the impressive Chinese method to deal with the cucumber~ With love and respect, Charlotte 1995-1996 |

Very sad to hear the loss of Lynn and David Green. I still remember the days we had laugh and fun at the home economics class. I will never forget she helped me to find a placement for my Lower VI work experience. We will miss her a lot. THS 1991-1996 |

I was deeply saddened to hear about the tragic lost of Mrs Green. She was an excellent teacher with a wonderful sense of humour. I still remember how supportive she was depite the fact that I was one of her worst cookery students in the class. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. THS 1990-1996 |

Mrs Green was an amazing teacher and a good friend to all of us that went to the school. Just like katie I can't believe that she won't be walking down the halls telling us to tuck in our shirts and handing out elastic bands to tie up our hair! We will all miss her loads! |

Mrs Green was simply awesome. The school was very privileged to have her, she will never be forgotten. I will never forget being told to tuck my shirt in whenever she walked past! |

So sorry to hear of the loss of David and Lynn Green. My thoughts go to the family at this tragic time. Mrs. Green was a great teacher and i really enjoyed her lessons, always making home economics seem more enjoyable and fun. The one thing that will always stick in my mind is the lesson about the amount of sugar in Tomato Ketchup and how we should only eat about 1 teaspoon of it and that her boys ate so much more than this! So saddened to hear of the tragic passing of Lynn and David Green. I know how deeply this has affected many old girls, and so can only imagine how the loss of such a unique teacher will be felt throughout the School.
Her laughter, humour and kindness will remain long in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known such a genuinely lovely lady.
Rest in Peace Lynn and David, and all thoughts with your family at this time.
Love,
Jasmin and family
