Boarding : Guardianship
All overseas borders (whether International or British) are required to have an appointed guardian who must reside in the UK. The role of the guardian is mainly to take charge of your daughter during half term holidays. If they are local they might also be able to attend Parents' Evenings. Concerts, Sports fixtures etc.In the event of an emergency the guardian will be the first point of contact. Please see the contact below for some Guardianship Agencies who may be able to assist you to appoint a Guardian for your daughter.
Please be aware that parents of our day girls are not normally guardians of International Boarders.
International boarding parents should arrange their daughter's guardian through a guardianship agency, or a family member or family friend who lives in the United Kingdom. This must be done - and the name and contacts details passed to the School - before your daughter joins Truro High School. Similarly, the School must be notified immediately of any changes in guardianship arrangements.
