Boarding : Going Out
With Truro city centre just a five minute walk away and with excellent bus and rail links to the coast and other pretty towns and villages, we are happy to allow the girls to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer within some basic guidelines:GOING OUT DURING WEEKDAYS:
Visits into Truro after School (Monday - Thursday)
Prep girls not allowed into town after school unless accompanied by a member of staff
Years 7 - 10 may go into town after school in groups of 2 or more provided they have the Houseparent's permission. They must be back for supper at 5.30pm.
Years 11 - Upper Sixth may go into town after school. They must be back for supper at 5.30pm.
Evening Outings (Sunday - Thursday):
Sixth Form students may go out in the evening until 10.30pm provided parents write/email permission on each occasion. Typical outings might be a visit to the cinema or local restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We would not expect girls to be going out on a regular basis and it would normally be for a special occasion.
No one is allowed into a pub at any time nor is anyone to walk alone at night. A taxi must be taken.
Overnight Outings (Sunday - Thursday):
No girl is allowed out of the House overnight on these nights
GOING OUT DURING WEEKENDS:
Day visits into Truro at weekends (Friday - Sunday):
Prep not allowed into town at weekends unless accompanied by a member of staff.
Years 7-10 may go into town in groups of 2 or more provided they have the Housparent's permission. They must return to the House for lunch at 12.30pm and again for supper at 5.30pm.
Years 11 - Upper Sixth may go into town alone. They must return for lunch at 12.30pm and then for supper at 5.30pm.
Evening Outings at weekends (Friday - Saturday):
Girls from Year 7 - Upper Sixth may go out in the evening provided the House Staff have received permission in writing/email from the parents outlining the evening's activity.
Years 7-10 may go out until 10.00pm
Year 11 may go out until 10.30pm
Sixth Form may go out until 11.00pm

Girls may go out of the House overnight provided that the House staff have received written/email permission from the parents and provided that the place where she is to stay has been identified. It must also be ascertained that an adult will be the host at the house and that written/email confirmation of the invitation, collection and return details are received from this adult.
