Boarding : After School
Extra-curricular activities:There is a wide range of extra-curricular activities, which take place in the evenings. Recent events have included ‘Rashleigh's Got Talent', ‘Villains and Demons' party, ‘Fairy Pink Princess' party, 'Barbeque Beach Party', Tang Soo-Do martial arts and Salsa Dancing.
Music:
Music plays a large part in many girls' lives in the School. There are two choirs and two orchestras and there are regular public concerts at which girls perform. Girls' have to organise their own practice after prep; pianos are available in the music rooms for boarders' use.
The Houseparents organise fun sports after supper depending on the time of year. There are also three supervised swimming sessions available for boarders during the week.
Wednesday 8.30 - 9.30pm
Friday 8.30 - 9.30pm
Sunday 7.00 - 8.00pm
Weekend Activities and Visits:
We offer a wide range of weekend excursions. These include: surfing; laserquest; water-sports days; shopping in Exeter and Plymouth and Bristol; informal picnics and walks; cycling the Camel Trail; visits to the Eden Project and Flambards and local theatres. Most of these activities are paid for out of House funds but occasionally you will be billed for such costs as theatre tickets.
Sixth Formers may take driving lessons whilst at School as long as these lessons do not conflict with the academic programme.
Visitors:
Visitors are allowed at anytime other than during prep. Male visitors may be invited only between 8-10pm on weekdays subject to permission from the Houseparent, but are NOT allowed upstairs.
