Admissions : Years 8-10 Entry Examinations
Provided space is available in a particular Year group we are happy to consider girls for entry either during Year 7 and for Years 8, 9 and 10. We will rarely accept a girl for entry into Year 11 because of the difficulty in 'matching' GCSE examination boards and syllabi against study already done.Your daughter will be invited in for a morning to sit a Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning paper so that we can assess her against the current cohort and standard required by the school. On occasion we may ask those girls in Years 9 and 10 to sit a foreign language paper as well, for setting purposes.
The papers normally take about 3 hours in total and parents can either collect their daughters at the end of the examination session or else candidates quite often rejoin the class with whom they might already have spent a Taster Day. This gives them another opportunity to have lunch and afternoon lessons with those girls with whom they might study in the future.
